I spent the majority of yesterday looking for a feasible SRS system for the Nintendo DS as JLearn or JMemorize or whatever the fuck it was called sucked ass and the algorithm kind of blew. After many hours of looking for portable Linux or Windows or SOMETHING that would let me run my precious Mnemosyne on my DS I found an alternate solution.

It works surprisingly well! Also for those who already have a bunch of flash cards exported as a txt from Mnemosyne that you are too lazy to convert to the NDSRS format (as I am) my good friend wrote up a Ruby script that did it for me >w<d

Don’t ask me how to use it as I have no idea either I’m hoping he’ll help me through it ;w;
Anyway yeah if you don’t it’s pretty easy you just save a TXT file as a UTF8 and use this format.

Eazy peasy. Also I’m trying to go from Japanese to English to Japanese to Japanese but I’m not too sure on how to make the transition. I’m thinking it would be best just to skip the translation step and only define words that I didn’t know such as.
うん、切符を買ったし、ホテルの予約もしてある
Uh huh, not only did I buy the ticket, I also took care of the hotel reservations.
「切符」きっ+ぷ Ticket
That would probably work best imho.
